River Otter Monitoring Project

The River Otter Monitoring Project (ROMP) is a science-based conservation initiative dedicated to studying and protecting North American river otters and their habitats. Named for the seemingly joyful group behavior of otters — a romp — we believe that collaboration is just as essential in protecting them and their waterways. Through data, fieldwork, and public engagement, ROMP is building a vibrant network of people and scientists to ensure the future of river otters.
